Who we are
A small team in Miami Beach, building the cleanest sunless line on the market.
SoBe Tan is a 25-year-old studio, a six-ingredient brand, and a small team of artists, formulators, designers, and operators who care about the product and the people who use it.
We're family-run — Fabiola opened the first studio in 2000; her son Gabriel built the chemistry, the packaging, and the platform you're reading this on. Everyone we hire works directly with one of them.
How we hire
Slow, deliberate, transparent.
- One real conversation first. Not a phone screen — a 30-minute video call with the person you'd report to, to see if the work and the team are a fit.
- One paid trial project. 2–4 hours, scoped to the role, paid at a fair rate whether we end up hiring or not. We don't ask anyone to interview-perform for free.
- Decision within one week. Yes or no, with a real reason. Salary, benefits, and a written offer follow within 48 hours of yes.
- No whiteboarding, no trick questions. If the role doesn't need it, we don't test for it.
What you'd be working on
Real work, real ownership.
We're a small team, so every role has ownership of a real surface — the studio, the formula, the line, the storefront, the wholesale channel, the Academy. You'll see the impact of what you ship inside a week.
The trade-off: we move quickly, we expect taste, and we don't have a lot of process. If you need a 12-week onboarding before you do anything substantive, this isn't the place.
