SoBe Tan is committed to making this site usable by as many people as possible — including customers with visual, motor, auditory, speech, or cognitive disabilities. We design and build with that goal in mind, and we treat any barrier on the site as a bug worth fixing.

This statement explains the standards we follow, the steps we've taken, the things we know we still need to improve, and how to reach us if you run into trouble.

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard most U.S. accessibility laws point to. That includes (but is not limited to):

• Semantic HTML landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure
• A visible "skip to main content" link for keyboard users
• Sufficient color contrast between text and background
• Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
• Keyboard-operable controls — every interactive element is reachable and usable without a mouse
• Form fields with associated labels and clear error messaging
• Captions on any video content
• Reduced-motion respect — we honor your operating system's reduced-motion preference

• Skip to content link. First focusable element on every page; sends keyboard users straight to the main content.
• Visible focus rings. Every interactive element shows where keyboard focus is.
• ARIA live regions. Cart updates, form submissions, and other async actions are announced to screen readers.
• Color contrast. Body text and primary CTAs meet WCAG AA contrast minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
• Semantic landmarks. Every page uses proper header, nav, main, footer, and heading hierarchy.
• Mobile and touch. Tap targets meet the 44×44 pt minimum across the site.

Accessibility is never "done." Below is what we've identified and are actively working on:

• Third-party embeds (booking widget, reviews app) inherit their vendors' accessibility — we're auditing each and pushing vendors when issues come up.
• Some product imagery is decorative and intentionally has empty alt text; meaningful product photography always has descriptive alt.
• Video content on the journal needs captions added retroactively — in progress.
