This Privacy Policy explains how SoBe Tan ("we," "us," or "SoBe Tan") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit sobetan.com, book a session at our Miami Beach studio, sign up for emails, or otherwise interact with us.

If anything here is unclear, email hello@sobetan.com with the subject "Privacy" and a human will respond within one business day.

You give us: name, email, shipping/billing address, phone number, payment details (handled by Shopify Payments and the relevant card networks — we don't store full card numbers), order history, gift-card recipient information, account preferences, and anything you choose to send us by email or contact form.

We observe: device and browser info, IP address (used to detect fraud and approximate region), pages visited on this site, what you added to or removed from cart, referral source, and (with your consent) analytics and advertising identifiers via cookies. See "Cookies" below.

From third parties: shipping carriers (delivery status), payment processors (verification), and (if you click through) referral or affiliate platforms.

• Process and ship your orders, and handle returns/refunds
• Communicate about your order, your account, or a question you sent us
• Send marketing emails — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from the footer of any marketing email or by emailing hello@sobetan.com
• Improve the site (analyzing aggregate usage, fixing bugs, A/B testing)
• Detect and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, court orders, etc.)

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with vendors that help us run the business, under written contracts that limit how they can use it:

• Shopify — hosting, checkout, payment processing, customer accounts
• Shipping carriers — USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL — to deliver your order
• Email and SMS providers — to send transactional and (with consent) marketing messages
• Analytics — Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics (with consent)
• Booking platform — Square (in-studio appointments)

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SoBe Tan, our customers, or others.

Depending on where you live (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, EU/UK, and others) you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements like tax records)
• Opt out of marketing communications and certain analytics/advertising cookies
• Port your information to another service
• Object to certain processing

To exercise any of these, email hello@sobetan.com with the subject "Privacy request." We'll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30–45 days).

We don't sell personal information. We don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising without consent.

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and (with consent) personalize ads.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookies" link in the footer, or by adjusting your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies won't break the site — essential cookies (cart, checkout, auth) always run.

We retain order and payment records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years in the U.S.). Marketing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it (subject to the legal-retention carve-outs above).
